Babushka's Banana Cake

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups unbleached all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups cane sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup ripe bananas mashed
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Prep an 8x8 metal pan with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together all dry ingredients.
  • In a large bowl, mix together all wet ingredients.
  • Mix dry ingredients into wet until just combined.
  • Pour batter into prepared pan.
  • Bake for 45-55 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and set on a wire rack until completely cool.
