Homemade Hot Cocoa

Servings: 5 cups

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup organic cane sugar
  • 1/4 cup organic baking cocoa
  • pinch extra fine pink himalayan salt
  • 4 cups milk of your choice
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 3/4 teaspoon organic vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Combine sugar, cocoa and pinch of salt in a saucepan.
  2. Add water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer and stir for 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in milk and heat to serving temperature, do not boil.
  4. Remove from heat and add vanilla.
  5. Serve with marshmallows or another favorite topping.
