In a large mixing bowl whisk together flour, baking soda, pumpkin pie spice and salt.
In a separate large mixing bowl, using a hand mixer, cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
Beat in pumpkin, egg and vanilla extract until combined.
Add flour mixture and beat on low until no raw flour appears.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Cover and chill dough for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and prep pan.
Scoop 1 inch balls onto prepared baking sheets, 2 inches apart.
Bake 9-12 minutes until puffed up and golden around edges.
